- 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, honey, and heavy cream to the pot.
- Mash the sweet potatoes with a potato masher or electric mixer until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use browned butter.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra spice.
- Garnish with chopped pecans or toasted marshmallows.
