Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans baked beans
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large pot until crispy. Remove bacon, leaving some grease in the pot.
  2. Add onion and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in baked beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and smoked paprika.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the cooked bacon back to the pot.
  7. Serve hot.
