A simple and comforting baked apple dessert.
Ingredients
- Apples: 4, of your choice
- Butter: 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar: 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg: 1/4 teaspoon
- Water: 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the apples.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Stuff the apple cores with the sugar mixture.
- Place a pat of butter on top of each apple.
- Pour water into the baking dish.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- You can add raisins or nuts to the filling.
