A simple and delicious apple cinnamon cobbler without a pie crust.

- 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- In the dish, combine the sliced apples with 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
Notes
- You can use different varieties of apples.
- Adjust the sugar based on the sweetness of the apples.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg.
