- 6 cups cubed bread
- 4 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Combine bread and apples in dish.
- Whisk together milk, cream, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour mixture over bread and apples.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- You can add raisins or nuts.
