Description

A rich and decadent Oreo cheesecake with a creamy filling and a chocolate cookie crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped Oreo cookies


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.
  7. Fold in chopped Oreo cookies.
  8. Pour filling over cooled crust.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
  10. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
